The project was founded by Brendan Eich and Brian Bondy, both highly experienced in the internet browsing software industry. Eich, the CEO of Brave Software, Inc., is the inventor of JavaScript and co-founder of Mozilla and Firefox. Bondy, the CTO of Brave and BAT, has extensive experience as a software engineer at Mozilla and other companies.
