In the context of Ethereum, Web3 refers to decentralized apps (DApp) running on the blockchain. The platform is powered by features like data union, Swash applications (sApps), sCompute, and sIntelligence.

Swash believes people lack ownership over the data and don’t receive any value from it. Also, the platform comprehends businesses paying for expensive, low-quality data lacking consent. Moreover, Swash also realizes developers struggle to access high-quality data. According to the whitepaper, the platform seeks to work on the aforementioned problems by redefining how data is collected and valued through the native decentralized data ecosystem. The platform also seeks to work in balancing the power dynamic between online platforms and the people being served.

Powering the Swash universe is the native token Swash (SWASH). The Swash token is a unit of exchange for trading Swash data or services. The token is used for transactions in marketplaces and to purchase data via the sIntelligence platform. Also, SWASH is used to reward sApp members for their efforts. Additionally, the platform rewards ecosystem actors with native Swash tokens in return for participation. The token holders can vote for projects, decide on new roadmap developments, and participate in token-related decisions.
