Additionally, REI Network supports developers with resources and support to encourage ecosystem building.
REI Network supports a wide range of potential use cases, particularly in the areas of decentralized finance (DeFi), GameFi, and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). The network's compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and Ethereum infrastructure allows for seamless migration of Ethereum applications. Developers can build various decentralized applications (DApps) on REI Network, including decentralized exchanges, play-to-earn games, NFT marketplaces, non-custodial lending solutions, and next-generation stablecoins. REI Network's history began with the release of the GXChain 2.0 developer preview version in the second quarter of 2021. The network underwent several upgrades and enhancements throughout the year, including the introduction of stacking and slashing modules for second-level block confirmation and the implementation of an economic model. In the fourth quarter of 2021, GXChain 2.0 was officially renamed REI Network, and the two networks were interconnected and cross-chained through GXC-Relay. The network's rebranding from GXChain to REI Network marked the singularity of its evolution, and it has since focused on ecosystem infrastructure construction, brand building, and the development of its stake-based economic model.
