Netrum also utilizes Masternodes, which are computer nodes that store a copy of the blockchain from the first block to the most recent. To receive compensation, these Masternodes must store a portion of the coin (2000 for Netrum) and must be operational 24 hours a day.

Netrum seeks to create a new ecosystem solution that utilizes blockchain technology along with its functionality. The use of the blockchain platform and smart contracts aims to facilitate the creation of many new token-based projects running on the Netrum Blockchain. These applications, known as Decentralized Applications or Dapps, represent a potential use case for Netrum. Additionally, Netrum's compatibility with current financial systems and its user-friendly features make it a practical choice for individuals and businesses alike.

Netrum's journey began in 2019 with the extension of its team and the development of its blockchain. The same year saw the release of its blockchain, the start of an airdrop, the initiation of a bounty, the release of its whitepaper, and its first exchange. The following quarters saw the release of Android and iOS Netmobile, the Payment Gateway API, and the Netcard HardWallet. In 2020, Netrum released its Decentralized Applications (DAPP) and SmartContract, which were important developments in its journey. Throughout its history, Netrum has aimed to stay in line with technology trends, continually adapting and adjusting its platform to enhance user experience.
