MyNeighborAlice

MyNeighborAlice is a multiplayer builder game that incorporates blockchain technology, offering a unique combination of gaming and decentralized finance (DeFi) features. The game is set in a virtual world where players can acquire and own virtual islands, collect and build items, and interact with other players. The game's currency, ALICE, is utilized for acquiring items or virtual land, and can also be staked to access special quests. MyNeighborAlice seeks to introduce blockchain to a diverse gaming community, without requiring prior knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain. The game draws inspiration from popular sources like Animal Crossing and Minecraft, and is built on the Chromia blockchain.

In MyNeighborAlice, players can acquire virtual real estate from Alice, the game's central figure, or from the internal marketplace. All acquired land is represented as a Non-Fungible Token (NFT). Players can decorate their virtual land with in-game items like houses, lakes, decorations, animals, plants, and more. These items are also represented by NFTs and can be traded through the marketplace or marketplaces on other blockchains. Players can enhance their reputation by completing quests and activities in the game. Shared quests enable players to work on a common goal and participate in community-created events.

MyNeighborAlice was built by Antler Interactive, a Swedish interactive mobile game studio previously known as SVRVIVE Studios. In 2019, Antler Interactive was acquired by ChromaWay, a blockchain development company that is behind the Chromia blockchain. The game has raised $2.1 million in two rounds of funding from VC funds like Coin98 Ventures, Kyros Ventures and raised $100,000 in an IDO round on DAO Maker. The game's developers have announced an $80 million Metaverse Grant Program that will support the most promising ideas to expand the game’s metaverse. The total supply of ALICE is 100 million, distributed among token sale, reserve, ecosystem, community & marketing, team, platform reward, and user incentive.
