As mentioned in the whitepaper, MITX is the token that powers the Morpheus Labs. Customers can use the MITX token to avail themselves of platform services. The MITX token can also be used as a discount token for application publishers and application users on the platform. Application publishers need to hold the token as a security deposit. They are incentivized to hold the tokens and become eligible for discounts. Likewise, application users can also receive incentives by holding MITX tokens while downloading applications.

Morpheus Labs was started in September 2016 by a group of friends who met up for coffee after completing their MIT Blockchain Program.
