GAME Credits is an ERC-20 cryptocurrency that operates on the Ethereum network. This asset is the first cryptocurrency to focus solely on games and revolutionize in-game purchases. The platform is now building a decentralized metaverse game in coordination with a community of creators. The term metaverse reflects an immense virtual world consisting of both social and financial potential, where the use of blockchain facilitates the exchange of virtual items against real economic value. Besides this, the network uses smart contracts and application programming interfaces (APIs) to deliver a multi-utility platform.
The whitepaper suggests that the traditional gaming industry gave trading opportunities of game assets to gamers a while ago. The main problem was that players could only trade these assets until the developers of the game allowed it. Players couldn't use these assets if the developers decided to shut down the project. GAME Credits seeks to solve this issue by harnessing the power of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Through NFTs, this platform seeks to enable players and developers to enjoy the GAME and takes complete control of in-game assets. With GAME Credits, players can now trade or exchange the in-game items across the network in the form of NFTs using smart contracts.
The asset has a suite of gaming tools that harnesses the power of blockchain. Some features include GAME Tournament Organizer, GAME Reward System, GAME Exchange, and GAME Foundry NFT creator tool. The platform also aims to enable developers to develop games efficiently without prior blockchain experience. Developers can also gain commissions by creating NFTs on GAME Foundry.
GAME is the ticker of the token. Participants of GAME Credits can use these tokens to create, trade, and transfer in-game digital assets. Players or communities can also use these tokens to play or host GAME tournaments. Holding onto these tokens allows participants to gain more in-game items.
GAME Credits was launched in February 2014. Jason Cassidy is the CEO of GAME Credits. This currency was formerly known as Gamerscoin. NovaToken platform merged with the GAME Credits network in April 2019. NovaToken is a blockchain-based platform that seeks to provide tools to gamers and developers to enhance the gaming experience. GAME Credits launched its whitepaper in 2020.
