1X Short Bitcoin Token (HEDGE) is an ERC-20token that aims to deliver -1 time the daily return of Bitcoin. The token is a component and product of the FTX platform. The platform aims to offer its consumers innovative goods linked to cryptocurrency trading. FTX strives to provide a sophisticated platform for professional trading businesses. Therefore, it is user friendly for first-time consumers.
According to the whitepaper, HEDGE is a token that aims to accomplish a daily return equal to the inverse of Bitcoin's USD return. HEDGE has the following features:
The inverse exposure enables Bitcoin traders to enter trades with less capital. However, they have to hold less of their assets in a third-party system for the same price exposure. HEDGE also allows users to hedge natural holdings in cryptocurrencies even if their preferred exchange does not permit margin trading.
The FTX platform provides a specific utility token, FTT, and intends to use it as the network's base. FTX strives to exchange tokenized stocks, futures, and other assets through FTT. FTX also seeks to provide a stable and sound platform with unique and creative crypto exchange capabilities.
The FTX team consists of seven people. FTX's CEO and founder is Sam Bankman-Fried. Its CTO and founder is Gary Wang.
