0x Protocol (ZRX) is an open-source infrastructure protocol that enables users to trade ERC20 tokens and other assets across various blockchains, including Ethereum, without the need for centralized intermediaries. 0x Protocol was founded in 2016 by Will Warren and Amir Bandeali. The platform was launched following a successful initial coin offering (ICO) in 2017, during which it raised a total of $24 million. Prior to the ICO, Warren held several research roles and briefly served as a technical advisor to Basic Attention Token (BAT), while Bandeali held several trading positions before co-founding 0x. The team now consists of over 30 individuals, including engineers, researchers, and designers who work to update the platform and ensure its smooth operation. The protocol has facilitated over $200 billion in trading volume since its inception.
